Purchasing Manager - Fit-Out Contracting

Guildhall is a leading recruitment agency and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager for our client, a fit-out turnkey contractor based in Dubai, UAE. Our client is a well-established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fit-out solutions to a diverse range of clients. They are now looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their team and manage the procurement of materials and services for their projects.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures that meet the company's needs
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best possible pricing and delivery terms
- Manage the procurement of materials and services, including the selection of suppliers and the placement of orders
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including the tracking of delivery schedules and the resolution of any issues that may arise
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with project schedules and budgets
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and services as required
- Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing processes and reduce costs

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 22,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management within the construction industry, specifically in the fit-out or interior design sector
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best possible pricing and delivery terms
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures, supplier management, and cost control
- Ability to manage procurement activities for multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring on-time delivery and within budget
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP software
- UAE driving license is preferred but not required

The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering successful procurement strategies in the construction industry, a strong understanding of sourcing materials and services, and a commitment to delivering high-quality fit-out solutions to clients. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and possess strong leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
