Job description / Role
Our VIP client is a high profile entrepreneur within the region and is currently working with Irwin & Dow in order to source a Purchasing Manager. This individual has a wide range of diversified business interests and is a highly regarded person on an international level. The role requires a GCC National and reports to the Business Support Director.
Based in Dubai at the business quarters of the property occupied by the VIP, the main duties of the role are to ensure all suppliers and contractors are brought in line with best practice, value for money and deliver a high standard of customer service. The candidate will therefore prepare and revise all contracts and SLA agreements and perform reviews on a regular basis to ensure the contracts remain fit for purpose and a positive return on investment. You will also be tasked with obtaining new quotations and offer sound advice to the Business Support Director and wider team when required.
The role also requires liaison with the finance team regarding LPOs, payments and credit. Management of a small team of administrators and warehouse staff to ensure smooth liaison with couriers, cargo and guests at a VIP level is also required for this very busy and hands on role.
Requirements
The Purchasing Manager position is best suited to an individual with limited commitments outside of the workplace as it requires a degree of flexibility in terms of working hours.
Our client will only consider GCC Nationals for this role and is seeking exemplary interpersonal skills within procurement and purchasing, coupled with people management experience.
