Job description / Role
Purchasing Officer up to 4.5k Aed++ for a Fnb Holding Group in Abu Dhabi
• Responsible for handling and overseeing the procurement of all goods and services through appropriate bidding processes to achieve optimum price value while maintaining superior quality, established control policies and procedures
• Maintains and organizes the storage facilities, ensuring proper distribution, and assists in the implementation of key controls associated with the procurement and accounting of goods and services
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
• Suggest and /or enhance the purchasing process as a way to reduce waste and improve profitability
• Assist in the purchasing of all food/beverages/materials/equipment and services for company operations
• Ensure that all purchases, requisitions, etc. have proper approvals and all orders are placed and received in accordance with company’s policies and procedures
• Request quotations from different suppliers
• Control purchasing department budgets
• Oversee and assist in unloading, receiving, sorting, stocking, securing, and distributing goods
• Participate in the inventory process (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
• Ensure inventory pricing reflects the most current information
• Review banquet event orders and consult with appropriate management for special requirements (coordinate with Sales & Operations Executive)
• Track all price changes
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Logistics, Business Administration or a similar field preferred
• At least 3-4 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer in Restaurants, Hotels or Catering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
• Strong negotiating skills with the ability to evaluate legal and business risks in relation to contractual terms
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management in the GCC / Middle East Region
