QA Manager

Job description / Role

- Monitor and control QA related activities and paperwork in accordance with 4 Corners policies, work procedures and all matters related to product safety, quality and legality.
- To report non-conformance and appropriate corrective actions to departments in a timely manner.
- To conduct regular and planned internal audits and to complete the appropriate documentation.
- To facilitate and manage third party raw material and finished product testing at the appropriate laboratory.
- Completion of quality, safety and legality related documents as set out within the company quality systems.
- Ensuring that the entire 4 Corners team operate in a safe and legal manner.
- Ensuring that the product meets all necessary food safety, quality and legal parameters.
- To assess the effectiveness of planned hygiene and clean-as-you-go policy both visually and by means of environmental sampling.
- To assist the Warehouse Manager with on-going improvement and identifying training needs.
- To actively participate as a member of the food safety team and to be trained as being ISO 22000 aware.
- To deputise for the Senior QA Manager on the Food Safety Team.
- Maintain the FSMS to ISO 22000 standards.

Requirements

- Degree in Food Science or Food based discipline
- HACCP Level 3 or above
- ISO 22000 Lead or Internal auditor
- Basic Food Hygiene
- Experience of warehousing, logistics, ISO 22000, Food Safety, Auditing in the FMCG’s environment.
- The ideal candidate should have a broad knowledge of food product categories covering chilled, ambient and dry products.
- Detail orientated
- Diligent, hardworking and willing to go the extra mile with a hands on approach.
