The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, result-oriented Engineering Manager to oversee Quality Assurance of very large-scale, distributed server side applications and platforms. The ideal candidate should be a leader with a passion for quality and be able to thrive in a bleeding edge highly agile environment with no blueprints.

In this role, you will:

- Define and drive the QA vision for end to end functional and performance testing for key platforms and applications
- Recruit, train, and setup an Engineering Quality Assurance team
- Manage, coach and mentor quality assurance engineers
- Oversee communication and co-ordination with international teams
- Work closely with cross-functional organizations, project teams and clients to develop project schedules, execute test plans and cases, and deliver high quality products
- Enhance Quality Assurance processes, environments, tools and frameworks
- Act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process for software engineering

Requirements

To bring your dream to life, you'll need:

- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering
- Extensive experience of managing medium to large QA Engineering teams
- Passion for product quality and uncovering hard to find scenarios and bugs
- Metrics driven approach
- Experience in setting up and managing engineering QA teams
- Experience in QA for highly scalable, distributed and high performance platforms
- Excellent knowledge of QA automation methodologies, processes, and tools
- Experience in designing and implementing QA solutions, developing test plans, test cases and performing testing
- Experience in driving adoption of 'Agile', 'Automation' and 'Service Virtualization' across the teams
- Familiar with technologies like Java, SQL, Scala, Databases, NoSQL, RESTful services
- Familiar with high performance ETL pipelines and technologies: Spark, Kafka, Cloudera, HBase, ElasticSearch
- Familiar with using Unix tools to measure system and performance metrics
- CSM and/or Agile certifications are preferential
