A leading oil and gas company in the UAE.

Job Description:
- Welding procedure and welder qualification shall be interpreted as defined ASME Sec IX.
- Welding procedure for ladder and platform structure, handrail and other shall comply with AWS D 1.1.
- Verify that plates thicker than 40mm shall be normalized or quench tempered, killed, made to fine-grain practice, and impact tested.
- Review of QA/QC documentation submitted by the refurbishment contractor and any other design documentation to ensure that design and work is in line with requirements of the SOW and international standards
- Prepare Inspection & Test Plan in accordance with International Codes & Standards / client contract

Requirements

Qualifications:
- Strong experience OG&C and Mining & Metal Projects; with focus on work coordination, construction, system completions, pre-commissioning, and quality control.
- Experience in working as Senior QA/QC Engineer; ensuring that works are carried out on time, within budget, and in accordance with current codes, standards and specifications.
- Attend Construction & Mechanical Completion walk downs and raise/close associated punch lists.
- B.E in Mechanical, CSWIP 3.2.2, CSWIP 3.1, AWS/CWI Welding Inspector…….etc.
- Certified Non-destructive Testing (PT, MT, UT & RT), Level II as minimum requirement
- Prepare inspection completion trackers for System and Sub-system completion based on P&ID drawings which contains Mechanical Equipment, Structural Steel, Piping, and Piping test packages.
- Identifying and recording quality problems and accordingly issuing project Non-Conformity Reports.
- Prepare Field change documentation/notification (FCN) and as-built documentation as required.
- Raise Technical Query / Waiver / Request for Information & Prepare Quality Flyer.
- Have an experience in fabrication, erection, and inspection for welded storage tank above ground, closed- and open-top in various sizes.
