Job description / Role
This opportunity is with a Multinational company, a global leader specializing in advanced industrial products and services for the energy and mobility sectors into manufacturing of products in stainless steel and high-nickel alloy.
In this position you would be responsible for the following:
• Oversee and manage all quality assurance activities within the OCTG premium threading line, ensuring adherence to company standards and customer specifications.
• Coordinate and conduct inspections and audits throughout the production process to verify compliance with ISO 9001 and API Q1 standards.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures, including inspection plans, to optimize production efficiency and ensure product integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Train and mentor quality assurance personnel on best practices, quality standards, and inspection techniques related to premium threading and surface treatments.
• Monitor and analyze quality metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve departmental objectives.
• Act as a liaison between production teams and customers regarding quality matters, ensuring timely resolution of quality-related inquiries or concerns.
• Support new product development and introduction (NPDI) activities by providing quality input and participating in design reviews and qualification processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
Requirements:
To be successful you would ideally possess:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in OCTG premium threading operations.
• Proficient understanding of ISO 9001 and API Q1 standards.
• Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and quality control processes specific to OCTG or drilling production.
• Experience with surface treatments and their impact on product quality.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record in driving continuous improvement and implementing quality management systems.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.
