Job description / Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QC Engineer specializing in Electrical & Instrumentation to join our dynamic team in the UAE’s thriving Oil & Gas sector. Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation, wiring, and commissioning quality of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Inspect construction procedures such as cable laying, distribution panel installation, and grounding systems.
- Ensure that equipment and instrument calibration meet technical specification requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve any quality-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Review construction records and test reports, such as insulation resistance tests and grounding resistance tests.
- Address quality issues in electrical and instrumentation construction and track corrective actions.
- Prepare relevant procedural documents for the electrical and instrumentation discipline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8 years of experience in quality control within the Oil & Gas or Construction industry, focusing on Electrical & Instrumentation projects.
- Strong understanding of international quality standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO, API, etc.).
- Candidates with experience in construction drawing design for pipeline engineering automation and instrumentation are preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents and regulatory standards.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for maintaining high quality and safety standards in engineering practices.
