Job description / Role
JOB PURPOSE:
The QC Engineer is responsible for optimization of technical mix designs in Ready mix Plant, with special attention to project specifications along with providing best technical solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare raw material verification trial according to Cemex raw material verification Plan (for Cement, GGBS, Sand and Admixture) in order to know about the Raw material behavior.
• Conduct Plant trials for mix design approval for compliance for new project
• Internal trial mix for Mix Design Development
• Coordinate on Mix submittal in accordance with Project specification
• CMD process and coordinate with Sales team from Quotation stage to till final approval of mix submittal
• Propose on cost saving program and be part of continuous improvement projects
• Identify opportunities for development of CEMEX Value added products (VAP)
• Review the Customer’s complaints and propose technical solutions

• Expertise in Structural Engineering, Building Procedures
• Knowledgeable in special products
• Knowledge in raw materials
• Knowledge in SAP Applications
Requirements
Education/Professional Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering / Civil Engineering; Dubai Municipality accreditation will be an advantage.
• 5-10 years of experience in Concrete & Cement Quality Control in UAE
