QHSE Engineer

Job description / Role

My client an International PMC has a requirement for a QHSE Engineer for a large development in Abu Dhabi.

This is an urgent requirement with preference to candidates available immediately and in Abu Dhabi (or UAE).

Requirements

Candidates who fulfil the following criteria are invited to apply:

- Preference hold a relevant degree and professional safety qualification
- Should have a minimum of 7 years experience on a variety of commercial developments
- Must have worked on the client side with a PMC or construction supervision consultancy.
- Should have 5 years experience in the GCC regions and good understanding of the local culture.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English,
- Strong personality to command respect from the main contractor.
- Experience in drafting and reviewing safety plans, safety statements, method statements and risk assessments.
- Good understanding of quality procedures and systems.
- Deep understanding of environmental best practice and local codes.
