Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Assess, Develop, provide implementation and technical support for the maintenance and continuous improvement of all ENG group companies along with required operational checks and reports for the QHSE Management System to be compliant with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2004 standards, and AD-OSHMS including corrective and preventive measures.
- Provide QHSE improvement proposals stating the non-conformance, proposed corrective action, required resources for corrective actions and plan of implementation.
- Investigate the root cause QHSE complaints put forward by staff members, customers, clients and contractors and report the result to Group QHSE Senior Officer.
- Follow up to ensure that corrective actions are implemented where necessary and ensure that any certification requirements are complied with ISO Standards and AD-OHSMS.
- Assist with the implementation of Job safety analysis and inspect job site activities for Risk Assessment during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations.
- Coordinates and participate in the investigation of accidents and near misses.
- Review and analyze accidents and near miss incidents and making corrective actions and recommendations.
- Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency.
- Maintain such records of drills, providing recommendations for emergency response improvements.
- Supervise the regular inspection of firefighting, safety and emergency response equipment and frequent site-visit in order to supervise the specific HSE-requirement.
- Plan, Develop, Support and/or provide OHS/HSE related Trainings, Fire Fighting trainings, coaching support and processes for client groups and related vendors/contractors
- Assist in developing and implementing field locations emergency response procedures and evacuation plans.
- Ensure that operations employees, contractors and site visitors receive HSE inductions for hazardous activities, if required.
- Responsible for preparing written weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentation related to HSE performance.
- Implement effective Quality/OHS/Environmental Policy statements/Fire Plans and Fire Risk Assessments strategies and make recommendations on the implementation of these strategies
- Conduct risk assessment of equipment or procedures to ensure that it is safe and to reduce / minimize the exposure or risk to as low as possible.
- Maintain and track safety files, training files, certifications and all licenses.
- Maintain a register of Fire Aiders and ensure the adequate provision of First-Aid and welfare facilities
- Ensure the proper and effective usage, storage and handling of PPE.
- Conduct the scheduled internal audits (QHSE) for various departments and locations for the entire group
- Follow up of corrective and preventive actions of internal audits and report to Group QHSE Senior Officer.
- Ensure that all subcontractor’s HSE systems and plans are acceptable to the company as applicable to a contract, and ensure that Subcontractor’s / Supplier’s HSE systems are implemented and effective.

Requirements

- Must have grade A or B practitioner from OSHAD
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- At least certified as internal auditor of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.
- Knowledge of local statuary and regulatory requirements.
- Able to provide detailed audit reports, with relevant required preventive and corrective measures
- Excellent in implementation of QMS, EMS and OHSMS
- Previous experience in land/ public transportation, Workshop will be an added advantage.
- Good in conducting Risk Assessments
- ISO Knowledge/Background
- Computer literate, MS Office, excel and word
- Coordination skills
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
- SKEA knowledge is an advantage
