Job description / Role
Based at the Head Office, the Senior Accountant will report to the Regional Financial Controller or Finance Manager, depending upon their availability in office.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Assist with preparation of annual statutory financial statements
• Assist with month end process including reconciliations and closure of GL, intercompany reconciliations
• Preparation of general journals and GL adjustments.
• Provide general support and assistance to other team members
• Assist with SOX and other regulatory compliance
• Assist with preparation of management accounts, cash flows, board reports and group reporting.
• Assist with ERP implementation and other ad hoc projects
• Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
• Educated to an Accountant degree level.
• Post graduate professional membership (CPA/CA/CIMA/ACCA etc) qualified
Experience:
• Strong technical accounting skills and ability to apply International Accounting Standards
• Verbal and written English communication skills
• Attention to Detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Should have knowledge of the following computer applications
• MS Excel
• MS Word
• Prior construction experience is an added advantage.
• Experience 4 years +
