Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Apply relevant legislation guidelines and standards to improve quality within the Hospital, and provide guidance, advice, or direction to employees to ensure that clinical practice is evidence based to facilitate positive outcomes
- Develop, write and communicate policies and processes related to quality improvement for the Hospital in collaboration with the relevant departments
- Periodically review Hospital policies and procedures and make recommendations for revisions to the relevant Head of Department
- Assist in the development of guidelines and monitoring of protocols to ensure employee adherence to relevant policies, processes, competency expectations, and Company procedures
- Promote and perform continuous quality improvement monitoring and compile data for trend analysis and reporting; this will include drawing clinical quality data from different databases
- With the relevant stakeholders, develop, implement and oversee quality action plans, providing reports to the Head of Department, and the Quality Committee
- Develop and maintain a unified organizational report of quality and safety indicators from across the Hospital.
- Participate in ad-hoc quality improvement projects as requested
- Perform quality and clinical reviews and evaluations as appropriate
- Assist in the development, design of methodology and the data collection process for internal databases
- Monitors documentation within databases and acts as a liaison with users
- Develop and maintain excellent networks and professional relationships with internal and external key stakeholders of the Hospital
Carry out any other related duties as assigned by the Line Manager

Requirements

- Degree qualification in Nursing or other clinical/medical area
- Graduate qualifications in Quality Improvement or another relevant discipline
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement for better health outcomes
- Minimum of 2 years experience developing and leading quality projects or initiatives within a hospital setting
- Demonstrated participation in, and coordination of, accreditation processes; JCIA experience will be well regarded
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to apply, relevant legislation, guidelines and standards
- Ability to effectively develop, write and communicate policies and processes related to quality improvement for hospitals
- Ability to develop and implement quality related training plans and protocols for employees at all levels of a hospital
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with data tracking and management, and familiarity with electronic systems
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Fluency in written and spoken English (Arabic language skills are well regarded)
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- High level of interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated competence in working autonomously as required
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to function effectively under pressure
- Ability to promote excellence in patient care through initiating quality management
