Alpha Flight Group Limited is a leading provider of innovative catering and retail services at several international airports. Alpha Flight Services UAE LLC is a dynamic food service company employing 500 employees, operating both business to business services as well as a wide range of generic branded consumer food and beverage outlets. This company is based at Sharjah International Airport.

We currently have an exciting opportunity that has become available for an experienced and qualified Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our successful business.

The position:
The QA Coordinator will be leading, supervising and developing the Quality Assurance programs and activities that will ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices including HACCP and ISO 22000.

Responsibilities:
• To be committed to Alpha’s food safety and quality assurance program for continuous improvement through best practices within the catering premise and F& B outlets.
• Executes staff trainings programs (food safety and quality) as required.
• Evaluates, monitors and ensures all Corrective & preventive actions for Critical Control Points in the catering and F& B outlets.
• Monitors, supervises & controls the daily implementation and effectiveness of the company standard SOP’s / OPRP’s towards continuous improvement.
• To execute product retention, recall, traceability, Foreign object & Suspected Food Poisoning investigation with emphasis on recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
• Conduct audit inspections as required (internal/supplier) within the catering unit and F & B outlets.
• Evaluates the adherence to product specifications and quality standards through the weekly meal tastings, product weight & daily quality checks at receiving.
• Verification and Calibration process of scales and thermometers as per the in-house calibration schedule.
• Evaluates new product testing prior to introduction.
• Monitors the in-house hygiene standards which includes the cleaning, sanitation maintenance and pest control in the unit and F& B outlets to ensure compliance with the standards.
• Maintaining and updating the records of (CCP’s, SOP’s, OPRP’s), (Supplier/ customer non-conformance, daily reports and tracker, food wastage, temp. monitoring, Foreign object tracker, laboratory reports, special project feedback reports)
• Organizing, conducting and execution of Internal and External trainings.
• Conducts routine laboratory analysis of food, water, equipment, surface, hand and environmental samples.
• Evaluates new product testing prior to introduction.
• Regular review of crew feedback from the online portal to monitor customer & crew complaints and establish trends for quick and practical resolution.
• Reduces the customer complaints to the lowest level by establishing the proper control of all food safety processes and procedures.
• Ensures compliance to customer specifications, operational procedures and the quality of the products (food & equipment).
• Ensures compliance with all food safety and quality programs which will include HACCP, ISO22000, Sharjah municipality regulations, World food safety guidelines, in house processes and procedures.
• Adherence to safety and security procedures & processes, attend meetings as required, conduct risk assessments as per the Alpha safety department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/ or above in Food and Catering technology
• Level 3 - Intermediate - Food Safety & HACCP training.
• Environmental Health & Safety training
• Related experience (airline catering) of minimum 2 years in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge in food safety, quality and hygiene
• Computer literate with MS Office (word, excel, power point).
