Quality Control Assistant Manager

Job description / Role

The position will be responsible for and assist with a wide range of areas in quality control & related tasks, including, but not limited to:

- Managing the quality control team for raw materials, finished goods & in process quality checks.
- Alternative raw materials testing, evaluation, and reporting.
- Competitor product testing, evaluation, and reporting.
- Innovation of applications and areas of use of existing products.
- Commercial scale product adaptation and review.
- Tinting / Colour matching system management, Colour range development.
- Handling of various type of audits related to product & system with record keeping.
- Coordination with third party laboratories for external testing requirements.
- Coordination with production for quality checks, production batch trouble shooting & reprocessing.
- Coordination with sales department for complaint handling, product samples requirement & approval.
- Continual development of quality control team with periodic training related to products & testing requirements.

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Graduate/ Postgraduate in Chemistry/ Paint technology/ Chemical engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of quality control/ development work experience in paints/ coatings/ construction chemicals industry.
- Hands-on experience to operate testing equipment for paints, coatings, and construction chemicals.
- Experience in computer colour tinting system & colour development is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving capability and proven ability to take initiative.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, presentable, dynamic.
- Written and spoken English fluency required. Additional languages give an added advantage.
- Proficiency with MS Office required.
