Quality Control Engineer

Job description / Role

Job Brief:
- We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer to oversee and maintain quality standards across all production stages, from raw materials to packing and dispatching. The role also involves optimizing quality parameters, managing departmental activities, and implementing cost-effective measures to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with service departments for seamless plant operations.
- Monitor and maintain quality parameters on a daily basis.
- Provide guidance and support to shift and general shift chemists for quality assurance.
- Assign tasks to general shift chemists and supervise day-to-day work activities.
- Manage raw material costs in alignment with company objectives.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and alternative raw material solutions.
- Plan procurement and maintain optimum inventory levels for quality control materials.
- Conduct manpower planning to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard.
- Maintain records and data related to quality and cost metrics.
- Organize training programs and share knowledge with team members.
- Identify potential areas for optimizing quality modulus parameters.
- Monitor and implement QMS (Quality Management System) and EMS (Environmental Management System) standards.
- Ensure quality objective parameters are consistently achieved within target values.

- 5-10 years of experience in cement plants.
- MSc./BSc. in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in quality control related to white cement.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for collaboration with stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills.
