Quality Control Engineer (Fire Rated Doors)

Job description / Role

- Conduct thorough inspections of fire doors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, identifying any deficiencies that need addressing.
- Document and maintain accurate records of quality control processes, providing detailed reports to management.
- Collaborate with installation teams to ensure that fire doors are installed correctly, adhering to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Perform routine maintenance assessments and recommend repairs or replacements for non-compliant fire doors.
- Stay updated on the latest fire safety standards and regulations to ensure all quality control practices align with current best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on proper handling and maintenance of fire doors, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols tailored specifically for fire door products to enhance overall safety and performance.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Proven experience in interpreting building codes and fire safety regulations, with a strong understanding of NFPA standards.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications related to fire doors and their installations.
- Fluency in English is required
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards at all times.
- A proactive attitude with strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
