We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control (QC) Lead to join our Capex Delivery Department at Magma, a hazardous waste treatment company operated by Veolia UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all quality control aspects of multiple capital expansion projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that all projects meet the highest quality standards throughout their lifecycle, from scope definition to final handover, with a particular focus on mechanical, piping, boilermaking, electrical, civil, and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies, procedures, and standards for all capex projects, encompassing mechanical, piping, boilermaking, electromechanical, civil, steel structures, and instrumentation and control systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define precise project scopes and quality requirements.
- Participate in the tender process, clearly communicating quality control requirements to potential contractors for each specialized area.
- Review and approve contractor quality plans and methodologies.
- Supervise contractor progress and validate compliance with quality standards and project specifications, particularly in:
- Mechanical systems design, fabrication, and installation
- Piping and boiler making fabrication and installation
- Electromechanical systems certification, installation, and testing
- Civil and steel structures design and erection
- Instrumentation and control systems installation and testing
- Develop and maintain a system for tracking and reporting quality-related issues and their resolutions across all project areas.
- Oversee the final acceptance and handover process, ensuring all quality requirements are met before project closure, including comprehensive testing and certification of all systems.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in managing quality control for large-scale projects involving mechanical, piping, electrical, civil, and instrumentation systems.
- Strong knowledge of UAE, international, industry-specific quality standards
- Familiarity with UAE construction and environmental regulations.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or relevant discipline-specific certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME, IEC) are highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in resolving complex quality issues across various engineering disciplines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards in all aspects of engineering and construction.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Proficiency in Google office suite.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and their application in multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Adaptability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of testing and certification procedures for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods and their applications in various engineering disciplines.
- Valid driver's license (manual gearbox)

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on feet for extended periods and navigate construction sites
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary

Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel between multiple construction sites if required
