Quality Control Manager
United Arab Emirates
Up to $14,000 per month
The Project
* European contracting business that work as an EPC Contractor on high value EPC projects.
* This project is valued at over $100m and is an greenfield project for the Energy sector.
* It is a greenfield power generation facility that incorporates steam turbines.
The Position
* Report to the Project Director.
* Direct responsibility for a team of 4+ Quality Engineers and overall responsibility for the subcontractors.
* Overall responsibility for the Project Quality Management System (PQMS).
* Manage the audit plans and schedules.
* Manage and oversee the subcontractors, evaluating and monitoring their Quality Management Systems.
* Manage the internal and external auditing process, ensuring that non-conformity reporting is completed and closed-out.
* Ensure that the project meets the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) standards and criteria.
* The working hours are 60 hours a week, with Friday as the rest day.
Salary:
USD
14000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements
The Candidate
* Bachelors’ Degree in a relevant engineering discipline like Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, etc
* 15+ years experience working on high value EPC projects, ideally in the Energy sector.
* 5+ years experience in site based Quality Control management positions.
* Detailed knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive with previous experience on projects with extensive high pressure steam systems.
* International experience is required, with experience in the UAE a distinct advantage.
