The Company

Robert Half are working Exclusively with a top tier Investment firm based in Abu Dhabi. They operate using a various investment types.

The Role

Assist in automating day-to-day investment processes and provide technical, programming support for quantitative analyses, investment monitoring, investment reporting, risk reporting, document management. Help streamline, upgrade, automate existing investment systems including integrating new software tools, and systems.

* Automate repetitive day to day investment processes across reporting, data collection, data analysis, investment due diligence analysis etc.
* Implement quantitative investment models including automation, data collection, analysis and output
* Based on requirements, design and build software tools for investment team across data collection, document management, data validation etc.
* Work on various longer-term projects for quantitative, systematic trading strategies across asset classes
* Help design and implement automated data collection and investment monitoring tools
* Implement and automate algorithms for investment process from idea evaluation to monitoring
* Implement automated equity market monitoring tools using 3rd party (Bloomberg etc. API)
* Develop aggregation and data validation tools for risk management
* Support team on research and quantitative analysis needs with emphasis on analytics, automation, streamlining, monitoring and reporting
* Help spec and design investment processes to utilize and leverage software systems
* Research, evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance investment processes

Requirements

The Candidate

* +8 years of senior programming experience especially with automation and software development in a financial services environment preferably as a senior desk quant
* Experience and exposure to quantitative analysis, reporting, system design and rapid development
* Educational background in computer science or quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics etc.) with hands on software development and programming experience
* Programming expertise in Microsoft ecosystem (excel, word, power point, outlook), third party API (Bloomberg etc.), shell scripting and work flow automation
* Programming proficiency with at least one major high level programming language (Python, Ruby, Julia, C#, VB etc.) and one scripting language (VBA, Power Shell, Perl, Javascript, etc.)
* Strong written and oral communication skills, advanced quantitative skills and great attention to detail

Salary and Benefits

AED 40,000 - 60,000 per month, plus company benefits
