Quantity Surveying (QS) Manager

Guildhall is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced QS (Quantity Surveying) Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of cost control and financial management for a significant construction project in Dubai. As the QS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the project remains within budget, managing contracts, and delivering accurate cost estimates and forecasts. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major construction project in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Oversee the cost management and budgeting of the entire construction project from planning through to completion.
• Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for the project.
• Ensure that costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle, advising on potential cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Prepare and evaluate tenders, contracts, and agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Monitor and report on project financial performance, including tracking costs, billing, and invoicing.
• Work closely with the project manager and senior management to ensure the project remains on budget and meets financial targets.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess the financial status and ensure proper cost control measures are in place.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost management and resolve any financial issues.
• Manage change orders, claims, and variations to contracts.
• Provide regular cost reports and updates to senior management and clients.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on large-scale construction projects.
• Proven experience in managing project budgets, contracts, and cost forecasting.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in cost management software and MS Office.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Knowledge of Dubai/UAE construction regulations and building codes.
• RICS or similar professional certification preferred.
• Fluent in English.
