Job description / Role
You will report directly to the Project Director and will manage all the costs related to build projects from the design plans until completion. Your main responsibility is to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while achieving the required legal and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: carrying out feasibility studies , preparing and negotiating bids for tenders and monitoring each stage of the construction. You will also provide financial progress reports, advise on procurement strategy and perform analysis on risk, value management and cost control.
You will assess costs on different topics, value completed work and arrange for payments.You should hold a university post graduation in the field of Civil Engineering or relevant degree with subject areas such as surveying, building/construction, urban and land studies, and structural engineering. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management with at least 3 years in the Middle East. You must have experience in residential and commercial projects in the UAE. You have a good understanding of health and safety regulations and its implications.
Requirements
You are computer-literate and can speak English fluently. You have the full capability to read, analyse, and interpret cost & technical specifications, together with construction related contract. You have good communication and are able to deal with different types of people. You must very flexible and hardworking.
