OPPORTUNITY

Parsons provides construction supervision consultancy to a flagship infrastructure project in Dubai, UAE. The planned development encompasses commercial districts linked by leisure developments that expand into further residential neighborhoods and parks in an area of approximately 400 hectares. Scope of work includes internal roads, external highway intersections, bridges, street lighting, electrical (HV and LV) networks, district cooling, potable water, sewerage, storm water drainage networks, waste management and other structures and infrastructure works.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.
Participate in all commercial meetings.
Assist the SQS in finalizing the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates.
Streamline all cost and quantity records.
Advise the SRE and RE’s on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
Evaluate the unit rates for new work items, contractual claims and related concerns and present to the SQS for review.
Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.
Monitor the contractor’s resource allocation and partake in the auditing of payments to Contractors.
Check and record measurements of completed work.
Monitor contracts final cost estimates.
Participate in the preparation of Final Account with all supporting documentation.
Completes additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
10 years of related experience in large and complex infrastructure projects.
Preferably with experience in project management / consultancy contracts.
Preferably with at least 7 years relevant experience in Dubai.
Excellent assessment, analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
Excellent written, and oral communications skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction or supervision.
