Objective

Plan and execute site surveys to support construction, installation, and engineering activities with precision and efficiency.

Establish and maintain control points, benchmarks, and reference systems for accurate layout and alignment of pipelines, structures, and equipment.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements in all survey operations.

Lead and supervise survey teams, assigning tasks and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA/QC teams to resolve discrepancies and support project execution.

Manage survey data and documentation, including topographic maps, as-built records, and digital models.

Utilize and maintain surveying instruments and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.

Implement safety protocols during survey activities, identifying and mitigating risks related to terrain and equipment.

Support construction progress tracking through regular site measurements and reporting.

Provide technical input during inspections and audits, representing the survey discipline in client and contractor meetings.

Train and mentor junior surveyors, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Ensure timely reporting of survey results, deviations, and recommendations to project management.

Qualifications

Qualifications for internal candidates

Plan and execute all site survey activities to support construction, installation, and engineering operations.

Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference grids for accurate layout and alignment of pipelines, structures, and equipment.

Lead and supervise the survey team, ensuring proper task allocation, performance monitoring, and adherence to project timelines.

Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA/QC teams to ensure survey data supports design and execution requirements.

Conduct topographic, geodetic, and as-built surveys, ensuring precision and compliance with project specifications.

Review and validate survey data, ensuring accuracy before submission to project stakeholders.

Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and use of surveying instruments, including GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.

Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, drawings, and documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance.

Support construction teams by providing accurate layout and elevation data for civil, structural, and pipeline works.

Monitor and resolve discrepancies between design drawings and actual site conditions.

Ensure compliance with safety standards during all survey operations and promote safe work practices within the team.

Liaise with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to address survey-related queries and provide technical support.

Train and mentor junior surveyors, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
