Engineering - Civil & Construction
Construction
This is a newly created in house role with a design led interior design studio in Dubai that is continuing to grow across hospitality, F&B, commercial and high end residential projects.
The studio has historically outsourced cost management, but with an increasing volume of projects and more complex design scopes, they want a Cost Manager embedded within the business to work alongside designers from early concept stage through delivery.
This is not a contractor or fit out QS position. The role is about supporting design teams, advising on cost implications, and helping the studio make informed decisions without compromising design quality.
You’ll sit within the studio environment and work closely with Interior Designers, FF&E teams and leadership, acting as the commercial voice in a creative setting.
What the role involves
• Reviewing BOQs and cost plans prepared by external consultants
• Preparing and developing cost plans as designs evolve
• Advising on material, finishes and specialist item costs during concept and design development
• Providing guidance on value engineering where required while protecting design intent
• Maintaining a strong understanding of Dubai market rates
• Supporting designers with commercial input rather than policing budgets
• Acting as the link between design ambition and financial reality
Projects
• Design led interior projects across hospitality, F&B, commercial and high end residential
• Strong focus on materials, bespoke finishes and quality
• Projects in the UAE and internationally
Requirements:
Must have
• Experience as a QS or Cost Manager within interiors, design consultancy or a similar environment
• Strong understanding of BOQs, cost plans and market rates
• Experience working alongside designers or architects
• Commercially aware but collaborative in approach
• Comfortable operating in a creative, non corporate studio environment
• Good communication skills and the confidence to challenge designs constructively
Nice to have
• Experience within workplace or high end interior projects
• Previous exposure to Consultancies rather than pure contracting
• Understanding of FF&E, specialist finishes or bespoke items
• Experience working on international projects
Salary:
AED
14,000 to 16,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
