Quantity Surveyor – MEP & Estimation

Job description / Role

Guildhall is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) with strong knowledge of MEP systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, cost plans, and bills of quantities for large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and design teams to review drawings and specifications.
• Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessments for MEP works.
• Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and provide regular financial reports.
• Assist in contract administration, claims preparation, and change order evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and project specifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a QS in construction projects, with hands-on exposure to MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, costing, and tendering processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, Primavera, or relevant QS software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with local construction codes and standards.
