Quantity Surveyor (QS) Manager

Job description / Role

Guildhall is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) Manager to oversee cost management and commercial activities for the substructure works of a major airport expansion project in Dubai. The QS Manager will ensure accurate cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting, while supporting timely project delivery and maintaining compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts.
• Monitor and control project costs, including variations, claims, and change orders.
• Review and evaluate contract documents, bills of quantities, and subcontract agreements.
• Conduct valuation of work done and interim payment assessments.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams regarding financial and contractual matters.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate commercial risks.
• Prepare reports on project financial status for management and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying on large civil construction projects, preferably in infrastructure or airport works.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, construction cost control, and measurement standards.
• Experience with Fidic contracts and UAE construction regulations preferred.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in QS software and MS Office.
