Overview of the role: To provide both commercial and project management support to a retail delivery project office.

What you will do:

  • Preparation of standardized tender documents, analysis of received tenders, attend meetings and prepare reports/recommendations for variation claims and final account reconciliation, assist in contractor selection.
  • Liaise with the spend management team for the online bidding for fit-out contracts.
  • Creation of standardized accurate Al-Futtaim tender packs.
  • Provide tender analysis and recommendations prior to online bidding.
  • Prepare reports for tender account reconciliation.
  • Provide recommendations and identify efficiencies for bulk contracting of store rollout.
  • All the above tasks to be carried out in close coordination/communication with Brand PMs and in compliance with AF Corporate Governance/spend management policy.
  • Prepare RFQs for the procurement team to assist in quotation requests - maintain the AF formatted documentation.
  • Assist the procurement manager in procurement tracking - ordering and logistics follow-ups.
  • Project management support: manage small projects, i.e., store closures as required; assist in the project.

What you will need:

  • Formal qualification in design, quantity surveying, architecture, or civil engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in an interior design, operations, or project management office environment.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of design, project management, and office software.
  • Ability to create accurate standardized tender documentation.
  • Commercial awareness when analyzing returned tenders and variation claims, working knowledge of the rates and practices for fit-out contracting in the GCC.
  • Ability to manage business commercial relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
