Quantity Surveyor - Tendering

Job description / Role

Our client is from a large construction company is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor - Tendering with experience in managing all costs relating to the organization projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures, minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Review the tenders
• Check specifications
• Read technical data, analyze, and take-off quantities
• Supplier/subcontractor correspondence
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Analyze subcontractors/suppliers' quotes and prepare comparative statements
• Attend to post tender correspondences and assist in the preparation of clarifications

The Ideal Candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Functional Experience:- Expertise in different types of piling, shoring, specifications, and methodologies
• Basic Knowledge of Contract Conditions: FIDIC and Quantity Surveying
• Professional Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in piling.
• Languages:- Professional lead of English is essential; Arabic is an advantage.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge in AutoCAD and CCS Candy is an advantage.
• Skill in operating Project Planning Software is an advantage: (Primavera, MS Project etc…)

Interpersonal Skills:

• Planning and organizational skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
• Strong financial analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• High communication skills
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
