Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Transguard workforce solutions have been engaged by our client to source a R2R Specialist. Our client is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies globally.

As a R2R Specialist based in Dubai, this role will be responsible for managing the GL Accounting, Reporting/Systems, Fixed Assets, Intercompany invoicing and Tax processes within the FSC, enabling the execution of quality services. This role supports having systems, documentation, compliance and reporting in place and supports continuous improvement projects to provide highly effective and efficient end-to-end processes to the company's business divisions. As a cross-country FCS specialist, the Specialist will manage the financials of company and activities by ensuring an accurate assessment of the local entity's financial condition.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following;

Service Delivery
• Supporting transitions and knowledge transfer, monitoring critical deliverables
• Supporting processes are migrated to the blueprint as per agreed timelines
• Operational oversight to provide services at expected levels with a clear customer focus, including handling the exceptions. Provides functional guidance to the team members. Interacts proactively within FSC and Divisions to ensure accurate accounting, and financial reporting. Resolve all escalated issues and disputes.
• Maintaining good relationship and Services; ensures productivity, continuous improvements and seamless service
• Collaborates with key stakeholders, including accounting authorities/auditors
• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for related policies and processes
• Acting as System Key User Lead and actively initiate and participate in improvements to sustain a highly effective and efficient process, and realize cost reduction opportunities including areas to standardize processes to optimize investments made in global ERP/SAP systems and financial services
• Support the measurement and delivery of service levels and SLA/KPI targets
• Proactively challenge the Status Quo, making fact based recommendations
• Manage day-to-day activities (modules to pick):

GL Accounting
• Maintenance of General Ledger master data
• Post manual journal entries
• Manage balance sheet account reconciliations process of all balance sheet accounts, ensure timely resolution, and clean of overdue items identified. Ensure proper accounting of financial transactions and accounting specific questions are well addressed and solved, with escalations to Technical Accounting if required
• Actively manage the review of accounts to ensure all financial transactions are valid and recorded to ensure accuracy of reported data, perform variance analysis and plausibility checks using different sources of information
• Manage period-end closing and reporting in accordance with local laws
• Ensure proper functionality and process linkages from/to other systems, e.g. payroll
• Perform the balance sheet account reconciliations of allocated HR and share-based compensation accounts and ensure timely resolution and clean of overdue items identified

Reporting/Systems
• Can Act as super user for SAP modules including correct allocation of access rights
• Responsible for month-end closing of SAP CO, align with accounting (accruals, depreciation, period lock)
• Ensure that figures reported from SAP into FCRS are correct and ensure close collaboration with key stakeholder such as BPA
• Consult and support BPA and FSC in technical questions.
• Ensure proper master data maintenance
• Supervise and educate people for master data maintenance of cost centers, internal orders and projects (WBS-Elements) in timely manner, taking corrective action as needed.
• Proactively challenge the Status Quo, making fact based recommendations while working closely with ERP Support

Fixed Assets
• Maintain Fixed Asset master data
• Lead balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data with no unreconciled balance
• Ensure proper accounting for capital and expense projects
• Resolve Fixed Asset related issues and disputes, escalate as required or coordinate with various departments to resolve
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations of allocated accounts and ensure timely resolution and cleanup of overdue items identified
• Actively lead the Fixed Asset preparation of month-end financial reporting
• Work with Division Project Managers / BPAs for timely completion of capital projects (CAR)
• Coordinate the annual fixed assets physical inventory/impairment analysis with the divisions

Tax
• Maintain Tax master data
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations of allocated accounts and ensure timely resolution and cleanup of overdue items identified
• Actively lead and/or perform the Tax calculation of month-end financial reporting
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, follow-up on any audit issues and implement correcting measures

Compliance
• Ensure all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented, in line with company standards and consistent with best practices as well as aligned with the Global Blueprint (when applicable)
• Ensure compliance with company Accounting Manual , company Financial Controls Manual and regulatory requirements and implementation in internal guidelines
• Ensure application of agreed control procedures and actively support to deliver SOX certification
• Promote a strong and control environment and follow up on audit issues and implement correcting measures

People Management
• Actively support FSC working style by being inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results driven in alignment with company Values and Behaviors
• Act service oriented to enable service lines to deliver a high-performing organization and drive improvement/standard solutions while cultivating customer service focus culture

Requirements

The ideal candidate must
• Be holding University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant / MBA
• Lean/ Six Sigma Certified preferred
• Holding 2-4 years of Financial experience, with in-depth functional expertize
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization
• Previous experience in managing Financial Services
• SAP knowledge
• Experience of managing projects driving performance (e.g. ERP implementation)
• Good people skills
