Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently looking for an experienced Reconciliation Manager for our Cash Services operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing cash reconciliation process and introduce new measures and control to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:
• Ensure that a daily vault count takes place as per standard operating procedure.
• Ensure that a 3 way balance takes place daily, and that any discrepancies are investigated accordingly.
• Work with operations to ensure that the business works follows group operational and reconciliation processes
• Log and track all differences
• Investigate differences found during cash processing and settle with customers where necessary
• Liaise with banks on all queries related to differences
• Ensure that reports for credit and debit entry passing are sent on time and accurately
• Conduct regular audits on recon and procedures and work with operations to identify and fix deficiencies
• Perform other relevant responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or any related field from a reputable university
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar position
• Financial background and experience in cash management is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office applications, [word, excel and power point] and ideally Access
• Understanding of Cash In-Transit business and processes is an advantage.
• Understanding of CIT reconciliation procedures
• Reporting, analytical and problem solving skil
• Good organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written
