Regional Chief Accountant & Cost Controller

Job description / Role

Swisslinx Executive Search is actively looking for a Regional Chief Accountant & Cost Controller for a leading company with offices throughout the region. This role is to be based in Dubai, however, it will include travel (up to 50% of the time) to various offices throughout the GCC, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

Reporting to the CEO and COO, you will also be directly managing a team of 5 people (across the region).

Your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Full responsibility of the accounting activity and general ledger in the region (including all accounting aspects)
- Full responsibility of cost controlling and budget management, including analysing costs and expenditures
- Team management: providing support and guidance to 5 team members in the region
- Preparing financial statements for senior management, including recommendations for improvement

Requirements

- 8+ years of professional experience in accounting and controlling in the Middle East
- Excellent knowledge of tax calculations in the Middle East
- Must speak English and Arabic fluently
- Degree of qualification in accounting
- Willing to travel extensively in the region
