Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities
• Implement and manage the HR (Middle East) plan in line with EMEA HR strategic objectives. Ensure the HR strategy supports the firm locally and is flexible to accommodate changes as and when it occurs.
• Oversee and implement programs/processes such as talent acquisition, employment processing, talent management, health and wellness, training and development, succession planning, employee relations, performance appraisals and retention.
• Annual salary reviews - responsible for the compilation of the annual salary increase process based on internal and external market data and advise management on remuneration best practice.
• Coach and support Partners and Managers in their development of people management and leadership skills.
• Work with EMEA L&D colleagues to ensure L&D programmes are effectively delivered in line with employee career paths
• Lead talent management initiatives in conjunction with the central Talent and Resourcing team
• Statutory compliance - interpret, advise and comply with the application of local statutory laws and ensure all policies and procedures are legally compliant. Lead on the implementation of various policies and practices. Proactively keep up to date with local employment law and employment trends and implement changes as required
• Update job knowledge by participating in local conferences/educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.
• Responsibility for the day-to-day management, engagement and development of an HR Advisor including setting and reviewing performance objectives on a regular basis.
• Identify areas of improvement, evaluate processes, feedback and escalate issues as appropriate to ensure optimal efficiencies. Actively involved in the implementation of the new HRIS for Dubai.

Requirements

Skills and Experience
• 3 years+ progressive HR management experience preferably at an international law firm in DIFC
• Proficiency in HR systems and demonstrated results in successful development and implementation of HR programs across Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Talent and Development, Talent Acquisition, Policies and Procedures Design and Implementation, Benefits and Rewards, Organizational Design and Resource Planning
• Ability to deliver against a commercially focused HR strategy aligned to meet the demands of a growing business.
• Broad-based HR partnering expertise.
• HR-related project management experience and/or leading and delivering special projects.
• Ability to build strong relationships with Partners, and colleagues remotely, across multiple locations and time zones.
• Ideally have working knowledge of relevant UAE legislations and employment law.
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills. English must be to native standard.
• Innovative and ideas orientated and able to challenge the status quo
• Influence and support change management across the firm.
• Ability to produce and analyse people data to support decision-making and to develop people strategies
• Design and lead strategic project work
