Job description / Role
Mediclinic Middle East is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly skilled Arabic-speaking Registered Midwife for a newly available position at Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital is a JCI accredited, modern facility established in 1985. The hospital provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency department.
The Registered Midwife provides advanced clinical care within the Active Labour ward, Ante Natal Ward and Obstetric High Care Dependency Unit by supporting the functioning of the unit through the application of evidence based and best practice, education, team work and a patient and family centered model of care.
Arabic-speaking candidates with DOH/HAAD license/eligibility and 3-5 years relevant experience in Labour & Delivery Unit with high risk antenatal care in a hospital set up, will be given preference.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Midwifery with a course duration of at least 3 years in an accredited institute
• Proof of valid registration as a Registered Midwife from home country
• International license if one works outside their home country
• Knowledge of internationally acceptable standards of maternal and healthy new born care in the labour room (skin to skin) and breast feeding is essential
• Active/valid certificate in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Accreditation experience will be a distinct advantage
• Knowledge of Hospital Information System will be noted
• Can function effectively under pressure in a fast paced setting
• Fluent in English and knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong service culture orientation. At ease functioning in a multicultural environment
