Job description / Role

Your role:

The resident nurse, ICU will record vital signs, assist doctors with a diagnosis, and complete paperwork. The role will provide direct nursing care along with physical or psychological support as and when required.

Your responsibilities:

As a resident nurse, ICU, your typical day may include the following:

• Perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation process in ICU unit.
• Skillful in basic and advanced procedures such as cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, blood transfusion process, caring for unconscious and ventilated patients, managing post-op care, sample collection including samples for culture, ABG sampling and analysis, interpretation of basic ECG rhythms and arrhythmia, managing patients with invasive pressure monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring, performing defibrillation, cardioversion, pacing: fixed and demand mode (transcutaneous / transvenous), monitor the patient critical lab values.
• Assist consultants with all procedures, emergency percutaneous tracheostomy, airway management (oropharyngeal, nasopharyngeal and L.M.A.), suctioning, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) with dialysis specialized teams, bedside endoscopy procedures, intubation and extubation, invasive line (central venous line, arterial line and epidural line) insertion and monitoring.

Education & experience:

• Bachelor's/Master's in nursing.
• Valid registration from state nursing council.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field.
• Proven problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.
• Should be compassionate with good communication skills.
