Relationship Officer - Fundraising

Job description / Role

This opportunity is with a well-known university in the UAE accredited by Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).

In this position you would be responsible for the following:

- Lead and coordinate fundraising initiatives aligned with the university’s strategic objectives.
- Utilize your personal and professional networks to identify potential donors, such as individuals, businesses, and organizations, and secure financial contributions.
- Actively engage with potential donors to build and nurture long-term relationships.
- Present fundraising opportunities clearly and compellingly to encourage donations and show donors how their contributions will make a difference.
- Maintain regular contact with prospective donors, following up on commitments to ensure they fulfill their pledges.
- Conduct in-depth research to identify and assess potential donors, understanding their capacity and willingness to give.
- Prepare customized fundraising proposals that align with the interests and priorities of each potential donor.
- Work with various departments within the university (such as academic departments, research centers, and administrative units) to find new fundraising opportunities and support their initiatives.
- Ensure that all fundraising activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all donor interactions, pledges, and contributions according to university protocols.
- Track fundraising progress, engagement levels, and follow up as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.

To be successful you would ideally possess :
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in fundraising, sales, or business development, preferably in the education or nonprofit sector.
