Employment: Full Time

This role involves strategically planning and governing release and deployment operations, ensuring smooth, automated deployments while mitigating risks and managing stakeholder relationships. The Section Head drives continuous improvement through KPI tracking and policy development, leveraging deep technical expertise and extensive experience in release management.

Description

* Develop and Enforce Release and Deployment Governance: Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for release and change management, ensuring compliance and consistency.
* Oversee Release and Deployment Operations: Manage day-to-day deployment activities, leading automation efforts for CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring seamless collaboration across development, operations, and other teams.
* Conduct Risk and Impact Assessments: Identify potential risks and impacts related to releases and deployments, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions.
* Manage Stakeholder and Vendor Relationships: Engage with business units, IT teams, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and vendor compliance with established standards.
* Define and Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish and monitor relevant KPIs, conduct post-release reviews, and generate comprehensive reports to drive continuous improvement in release and deployment processes.
* Implement and Optimize CI/CD Pipelines: Utilize expertise in CI/CD tools, cloud environments, and scripting languages to design, implement, and optimize automated release and deployment pipelines.
* Drive Strategic Planning and Policy Development: Define and implement long-term release and deployment strategies, contributing to overall strategic IT planning and policy development.

Requirements:

* This is a UAE National opportunity
* Strategic Planning & Governance: Ability to define and implement release and deployment strategies, establish governance frameworks, and develop policies for change management
* Release & Deployment Operations: Expertise in overseeing deployment activities, leading automation initiatives for CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
* Risk & Issue Management: Skills in conducting impact assessments, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
* Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Ability to engage with business units, vendors, and IT teams, and ensure vendor compliance.
* Continuous Improvement & Reporting: Capability to define and track KPIs, conduct post-release reviews, and drive continuous improvements.
* Technical Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, ITIL Foundation, DevOps certifications, expertise in CI/CD tools, cloud environments, and scripting languages.
* Experience: Minimum of 10 years in release and deployment management
