Release Manager

Job description / Role

Effective management of SAP release cycles is critical for smooth deployment and operational efficiency, involving coordination across multiple teams and tools. This role demands expertise in SAP S/4HANA, transport management, and compliance with ITIL practices, supported by strong planning and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage SAP release cycles , ensuring smooth deployment of transports and enhancements.
• Coordinate with AMS teams, ATG CoE, and SAP RISE for release readiness and cutover activities.
• Maintain release calendar, track dependencies, and manage risk mitigation plans.
• Oversee transport management, regression testing coordination, and compliance with ATG governance.
• Prepare and share release dashboards, reports, and ensure stakeholder communication.
• Drive continuous improvement in release processes to minimize downtime and optimize delivery.
• 6–8 years of experience in SAP release and transport management.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, WRICEF objects, and integration points.
• Familiarity with SAP CALM, Solution Manager, and ITSM tools (e.g., BMC Helix).
• Knowledge of ITIL v4 Release & Deployment Management practices.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills.
• Certifications in ITIL, SAP Release Management, or equivalent preferred.
