Role Summary:

Offers the opportunity as a Repair and Maintenance Technician to join the team in Dubai, UAE.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Maintains assigned trucks, ships, and related surface cabin equipment in accordance with operating specifications.
- Routinely welds, paints and refurbishes equipment. Conducts mechanical inspections. May use moderately complex diagnostic equipment.
- Under limited supervision, performs mechanical assembly, maintenance, and overhaul on equipment. Works to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices and Quality standards. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.
- Assist in reworking, repairing, testing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
- Review procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy.
- Analyze and interpret data from environmental tests and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
- Handles special projects, as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Technical diploma
- 2+ years maintenance related experience in electro-mechanical function or minimum 2 years' relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, electronic).
- Basic computer skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use common hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents, drawings, parts lists and follow formal procedures. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Basic computer skills. Basic skills in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.

Desired Characteristics:

- Preferably a fresher or a candidate with Assembly or QA/QC related experience.
