Research Assistant

Job description / Role

One position is available for full-time Research Assistant (RA) in the project "Equation-of-State, Transport Coefficients, Thermodynamic Properties, and Shock Hugoniot of Materials at High-Energy Density ".

We seek a talented researcher for this position, with expertise in theoretical modeling and computations of equation-of-state and thermodynamic properties of dense strongly-coupled plasmas.

Duties will include conducting research under the supervision of the PI, preparing manuscripts reporting research results for publication in international indexed journals and assistance in all relevant matters of research.

Funding is available for two years, however, the appointment will be initially for one year with a possibility of extension for the second year depending upon satisfactory performance. The package includes a monthly salary of 7000-8000 AED (depending upon qualification and experience, 1 USD~3.673 AED) in addition to medical health insurance.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
Knowledge of the theory of strongly coupled plasmas and proficiency in using languages for scientific computing such as Fortran 90, Matlab and C++.
