Job Description

A research assistant (RA) position is available at the Geology Department, College of Science, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), within the framework of a research project funded by the UAEU Center-Based-National Water Center (NWC). The successful candidate will work in the UAEU Geology Department.

Duties will include comprehensive involvement and assistance in laboratory and fieldwork as well as analyzing and organizing the data in a database amendable for decision makers and reporting.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants must hold a MSc. Degree in Geosciences or related subjects. The candidate should have capability of working in the laboratory and field either individual or in-group with other researchers. Laboratory work requires careful handling of equipment and materials. Fluency in both speaking and writing in English is an exclusive required. Having a valid UAE driving licence will give important privilege to candidate.

Preferred Qualification

Holding a MSc. Degree in Geoscience or related subjects, interest in Geosciences and capability of working in the laboratory and field either individual or in-group with other researchers, managing and carefully handling of some heavy laboratory equipment and materials, speaking fluency and writing reports in English and having a valid UAE driving licence.
