Job Description
One position is available for full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistants in the Start-Up project "Involutions in group algebras". Duties of the RA RA is to conduct research in the area of group algebras and their applications. The aim of the project is:

• To study the involutions in group algebras;
• To develop GAP functions to investigate the properties of involutions in group algebras which arise from the basic group;
• To study the structure of unitary subgroups related to the classical and other involutions.

The appointment will be initially for one year with a possibility of extension for second year depending upon satisfactory performance. The package include a monthly salary of 7000-8000 AED (depending upon qualification and experience), medical insurance and one return air ticket.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
• Master degree in Mathematics.

Preferred Qualification
• Ph.D. in Mathematics with professional knowledge in the computer algebra system GAP.

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
• Candidate is expected to have a strong background in Group and Ring Theory and their applications.
• He/she must be capable to develop corresponding programs in GAP and Matlab.
• Proficiency in English is required (written and oral).
