Job Description

The Department of Mathematics at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a research assistant position to study the involutions of group algebras and to work on Computed Tomography.

Research experience in the areas of group theory or Computed Tomography is desirable. Experience in AI (Deep Learning) is a plus. Candidate is expected to have a strong background in GAP or Matlab. Proficiency in English is required (written and oral).

The nominal start date is as soon as possible before 15th January, 2021. The position is located at the UAEU's main campus in Al Ain.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification

Master degree in Mathematics or Physics.

Preferred Qualification

Professional knowledge in algebra or computed tomography (image processing).

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience

Candidate is expected to have a strong background in AI (deep learning) and in using MATLAB or GAP. Proficiency in English is required (written and oral).
