Job description / Role
A position is available for a full-time Research Assistant with experience in Structural Earthquake Engineering, particularly in testing and dynamic response simulations of structures. The candidate should have the qualifications needed to join the PhD programs at UAEU as a full-time student ASAP, including BSc and MSc degrees and an IELTS score of 6.5. Previous publications in international journals and GRE score also increase the chance for acceptance.
Duties include experimental studies related to the performance of RC structural systems, numerical modeling and dynamic response assessment of structures, and submission of research findings to international journals. The application package should include a detailed resume describing qualifications, publications, and previous experience in addition to the contact details of two references.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification
Applicant must have an earned MSc and BSc in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering, a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the Master's degree, and an IELTS score of 6.5.
Preferred Qualification
Preference will be given to candidates with strong experience and previous publications in Structural Engineering who can join the UAEU PhD program ASAP.
