Job Description
The Research Infrastructure for Computing (RIC) is a core computing facility to advance UAEU computationally intensive experimental research at scale. We are searching for an outstanding Research Assistant to contributes to scientific research and software development efforts for our Research Infrastructure for Computing(RIC) projects in cloud computing and machine learning, in accordance with university policies, goals, and objectives; investigates and develops real life projects to meet the training objectives ; investigates and develops technical solutions to meet the research objectives; divides technical solutions into component-level features; assigns, monitors, and reviews component-level feature development, testing and integration tasks performed by team members; assists in technical report writing.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
• Master's Degree in Software Engineering

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
• Should have proven experience in research projects related to Cloud Computing and Machine Learning
• Technically conversant and be adept at working with Machine Learning and Metaheuristic Optimization techniques, including hands-on experience in implementation (MLPs, CNNs, RNNs, TensorFlow etc)
• Be able to outline strategic goals for Data science projects; define a scope of work, and plan the development.
• Be able to take lead role on all aspects of Cloud computing projects development from initial scoping through strategic planning to final testing and delivery.
• Able to find ways and sources of collecting relevant and comprehensive data, interpreting it, and analyzing results with the help of statistical techniques.
• Be proficient at designing and developing applications using Python, C#.NET, JavaScript, SQL and NoSQL database with strong report writing skills in Latex.
• Be able to work closely with Research/Training team to define project features and roadmap.
• Be able to work closely with the faculty to develop and set up an training workshops on emerging technologies related Cloud Computing and Machine Learning.
