Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
A Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. Our laboratory is interested in understanding the role of EBV in the pathogenesis of human malignancies. This post involves investigating the role of EBV encoded small RNAs in the biology of EBV and associated diseases. The position is supported by a grant from Al Jalila Foundation. The post is initially for one year and may be extended to another one year depending upon the funding availability.
Expected Salary: UAE Dirham 5000 plus including health insurance
Requirements
Minimum Qualification:
The position is for an enthusiastic, ambitious, and hard-working individual with an MSc degree in a biomedical sciences, preferably with a major in microbiology. The successful candidate should have a strong practical background in molecular and cellular biology, and tissues culture. Experience of bioinformatics, flow cytometry and using in vitro and in vivo models will be a distinct advantage.
