Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities: A Research Assistant/PhD position is available in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), United Arab Emirates University. Our laboratory is interested in understanding the biology of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and its associated diseases. This post/studentship involves using a rabbit model to understand the relationship between EBV and the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis. The position is supported by a grant from the UAEU-Zayed Center for Health Sciences. The funding is linked to the university PhD studentship and registration to the CMHS PhD program is mandatory.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification
MSc degree in a biomedical sciences, preferably veterinary medicine. The successful candidate must meet the university requirements for registration to our PhD program (see UAEU, College of Graduate Studies website for details). The successful candidate is expected to start in February/March 2022, with PhD registration to commence from academic year 2022.
