Job Description
A research assistant position is available as part of a research study led by principal investigator Dr. Najla Aljaberi (pediatrics) and Co-investigator Dr. Hiba Alblooshi (genetics) at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. The position is part of a research study to understand the molecular mechanisms and genetic variants of JIA patients and how they are linked to clinical phenotype.

The position is supported by a grant from the United Arab Emirates University initially for four months. Salary is tax-free and is in the range of 6000-7000 UAE Dirhams per month, commensurate with training and experience.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
The successful candidates should have at least a BSc degree in a biomedical sciences discipline.

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
Research experience in more than one of the following research areas: molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics, genomics, human molecular genetics or protein chemistry. Applicants will be involved in patient recruitment, data collection and lab work as per the study protocol and covered with the appropriate orientation and training.
