Job Description
Research associate position in the Integrative Agriculture Department of College of Food and Agriculture.

As an enthusiastic researcher you will join a collaborative team lead by faculty from Department of Integrative agriculture for one year. The research project required key laboratory techniques and skills involved such as antioxidant/antibacterial analysis, enzyme activities, and enzyme activity inhibition, fruit quality attributes GC, microscopy, plant tissue culture/ microbial analysis techniques, application of 1-methylcyclopropene, edible coating, CO2 to improve fruit ripening and shelf life, and the physiological mechanism for regulating these processes and related gene expression.

• The project would suit a candidate with experience in horticulture/ food science, with strong lab skills and preferably experience in a fruit quality, enzyme activity and bioactive properties.
• The position is going to start in August 2021.
• Please note the successful candidate must have at least Master's degree by thesis.
• The candidate will have to work independently in the field and laboratory conditions and is expected to have very good writing skills (publication).

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
• Master's Degree in Horticulture/ Food Science or related discipline.
• A PhD will be preferred.

Preferred Qualification
• Master's Degree in Horticulture/ Food Science or related discipline with thesis on relevant topic of the project (preferable).
• Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
