Job description / Role
Job Purpose
Lead, participate and define the requirements of the process of approval and implementation of the onshore fields' development plans in the short, medium and long terms according to ADNOC's management guidelines.
Reports detailed technical justification required to ensure applying best practice of reservoir management and simulation modeling based on cutting-edge technology aimed at producing the ultimate oil and gas recovery
with minimum cost and risk.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Lead assessment of the feasibility of the ongoing and planned activities relevant to the oil and gas full field reservoir development plans related to BAB, NEB & Gas Assets, and provide technical basis required for management decision.
- Participate in all technical milestone meetings with Shareholders and Group Companies in order toupdate management with solution on the key issues for approval of development plan
Generic Accountabilities
Supervision:
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets:
- Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work pians to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies. Systems, Processes & Procedures:
- Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section's work programs in line with Company and
International standards.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Performance Management:
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health. Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices
Reports:
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management
Internal Communications & Working Relationships:
- Daily contacts with all department staff for follow up, give instruction and define assignments for fulfilment according to management instructions.
- Occasional contact with other Upstream Directorate technical staff to discuss common issuesContact with line Manager/ peers and other employees within the company/Group as required
External Communications & Working Relationships:
- Occasional contacts with Shareholders representatives on issues related to development plans prior any milestone meeting.
- Occasional contacts with consultants and service companies on issues relevant to new technology and on innovative reservoir management for best practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in, Reservoir/Petroleum/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 9 years' Experience in reservoir engineering including oil and gas fields development management and, full field simulation studies (use of hardware & software models).
